May 12 March for Climate in Brussels
On May 12 a March for climate and social rights for everyone will take place in Brussels
A multicoloured and diverse demonstration will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on Sunday 12 May. 12 May is two weeks before the regional, national and European elections of 26 May 2019. The aim of the demonstration is clear: it wants to give a signal to the Belgian and European policy that the actual policy is energy-undurable, asocial, against the climate, and discriminatory. On our side, we have 23 alternative demands in six themes. The first theme is climate, with four demands. The fourth demand wants an effective nuclear exit in 2025 at the latest, and, on demand of the 11 march movement, the immediate shutting down of the flawed reactors Tihange 2 and Doel 3.
The antinuclear movement mobilises for an own block in this demonstration, because of the importance of a non-fossil and non-nuclear energy policy. We strongly want to express our demands with flags and banners for a complete and effective nuclear exit, and for the immediate shutting down of the flawed reactors Doel 3 and Tihange 2.
We would like to ask to you and your organisations to help to mobilize for and to be present in the antinuclear block of this demonstration. Please come with your banners and flags, and most of all, many people!
